Stepping into Simsbury 1820 House was like entering a storybook - the historic charm and elegant ambiance immediately captured my heart. From the moment we arrived, the attentive staff made us feel right at home. Our room in the Carriage House was a spacious retreat, offering stunning views of the surrounding area. Exploring the region's rich history and beautiful scenery was a breeze from this central location. We enjoyed a leisurely nature walk along the Farmington River and even visited the nearby New England Air Museum for a glimpse into aviation history. The complimentary breakfast in the cozy Parlor by the fireplace was a delightful way to start the day. We also took advantage of the pools and health club at the sister properties for some relaxation and pampering. I couldn't have asked for a better getaway with my significant other, surrounded by picturesque landscapes and warm hospitality.
